Yin Yoga w/ Meditation                                                                  Thursdays, 4-5:30pm
Asanas were originally designed to prepare yogis to sit in meditation.  This quiet practice will focus on freeing the joints (connective tissue rather than muscle).  Holding deep poses supported by props, if necessary, creates space in the body, mind and heart for reflection and observation.  The class will end with time spent in seated meditation.

Yoga for Healthy Joints                                                                       Thurs., 10-11am    This class is based on the joint-freeing series established by the renowned structural yoga therapist Mukunda Stiles.  Each joint wil be moved gently accompanied by the inhalation and exhalation of the breath. The consistent practice of this series may help to relieve stiffness, arthritic symptoms and joint pain and increase joint mobility and circulation.  Awareness is enhanced through the use of the breath with movement.  The class will also include relaxation techniques.
