GYROKINESIS(R) - The Art of Exercising and Beyond                 Tues., 10:30am-Noon
Gyrokinesis(R) promotes spinal health, flexibility, core strength and musculoskeletal stability, improving range of motion in joints that has been lost or compromised due to injury or aging.  It embraces key principles found in Yoga, dance, gymnastics and Tai Chi, increasing energy and vitality!
This low-impact system, suitable for all ages, levels of fitness and experience, uses stools, standing and floor postures to work the entire body with full joint articulation and especially through the seven natural spinal movements: forward, backward, left side, right side, left twist, right twist and circular.
Gyrokinesis(R) systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating exercises.  Fluidity is the key. Postures are not held for long periods of time. Instead, postures are smoothly and harmoniously connected through the use of  breath, making exercises feel more like a dance.
Registration required. Call 978-1099.

Kripalu Yoga
Based on the philosophy, "Self observation without judgment," Kripalu Yoga puts great emphasis on the mechanics of Yoga -- proper breath coordination and posture alignment -- as well as on the inner spiritual dimensions of a Yoga practice. Students are encouraged to honor "the wisdom of the body" and to work according to the limits of their individual flexibility and strength.

You'll leave each class feeling fully refreshed, alive and filled with inner peace.
